Jean-Michel

a little insectoid from volucrit, far, far away from metamorphosis still. jean-michel traveled to the big city for one sole reason: RECOGNITION! he is an incredibly dedicated and ambitious artist in training, but… in the hyper-survival oriented wilderness of volucrit, his fellow bugs rarely have the appreciation for fine arts. perhaps the luxury-obsessed bees may have a taste for his works, but he would prefer not to associate with bees. um, ever.

the downside of it all is, he is still a caterpillar, which means he is very hungry, and very sleepy at all times. on a bad day, poor jean-michel may find himself taking a big fat bite out of a freshly painted canvas. nonetheless, jean-michel is very proud of his work! he has a talent for seeing the beauty in everything, and hope for nothing more than to become a beautiful work of art someday. he’s feeling like boasting just thinking about it! it may just be his grandest dream, to take to the skies with glorious rainbow wings! but that will be a long while… probably.

a snobby, fussy creature through and through. jean-michel is always worrying about something, and wants everything his way. the little guy is usually found angrily batting at a canvas, waiting for some of his assistants to get on his nerves. they always do, so it’s simply a matter of time! harrumph!
