Profile

a pair of circus performers up to no good. kiku and the puppeteer are an inseparable pair, and are constantly in cahoots with eachother. And yet, tucked deep within that trailer that’s way larger on the inside than it should be, past all the ominously swinging marionettes, nobody quite knows just what they’re scheming about.
in reality, the puppeteer is in a contract with a Spellbound, a fae-like, capricious entity, that can spark forth magical effects characteristic to it, so long as one calls forth the specific incantations. This is what keeps the puppeteer’s marionettes moving, and thus his entire life’s work. The downside is, the Spellbound needs to be fed. So, in the downtime of the circus, Kiku, The Puppeteer, and his small army of puppets trek out into the town they’ve settled in for the week, and he sets them loose.

Kiku

A satori, and the little sister of the circus’ former fortune teller, Masao. she’s significantly younger than he is, at 16 years old, does not have her third eye yet. kiku is one of the circus’ many acrobats, and is a big star of the show, due to her mischievous and spunky personality, but also her overall skill. despite never being in the same acts as the puppeteer, the two are nonetheless very close. kiku is also a pickpocket, but that would be one of her lesser crimes.

The Puppeteer

Human (?). Real name Abe Satoshi. Satoshi is often mistaken for the ringleader, with his grandiose and distinctive personality. Nonetheless, he is but a puppeteer. Perhaps an unconventional occupation to have in a circus, but Satoshi makes it work with one thing: Magic. The Puppeteer is a skilled caster. He has a vast collection of extravagantly designed marionettes, each of which he can control with an arcane paddle, that may allow him to control multiple puppets at once. He’s a sinister and intimidating person, but one with incredible persuasive skill. known to have a very annoying laugh.
he’s almost always holed up in his trailer, the inside of which pitch-black, with nothing in sight but countless puppets, swaying and clacking together gently in an unknown breeze.
