Lady Meredille

oh, glorious lady. lady meredille is the vampire holding down the fort in deira, around the 1100s, and is known for her angelic beauty, yet fearsome power. the veiled lady does not leave her castle lest it is absolutely required, and when it is, the lady leaves nothing but carnage in her wake. though magic has long since been outlawed, and the lady is a walking example of heathenry, certain vampires are still secretly employed by those in power, so long as they remain hidden. and hidden, the lady remains.

in reality, the lady is a fake. a replacement. the true lady meredille was a distant relative of her usurper, and was more thoroughly spoiled and selfish. proving useless to the county’s lord, she was ordered to be replaced by her hybrid niece, the abandoned, bastard child of a nosferat and one of the prestigious lady’s family. this awakened the dawn of the new lady, though no one but the residents of the castle know of her replacement. the lady meredille of the present is fearsome, and ruthlessly powerful. nonetheless, she is a persuasive, and sensual woman, with a regally intimidating air around her. nonetheless, she is distant, and rarely speaks to anyone outside of diplomatic meetings.
