barbara and olivia’s much more responsible older brother. hershel is the neighborhood’s beloved handman and mediator. just about everyone knows the guy, and he makes a point of it to be aware of any small-town feuds, so he can put a damper on ‘em the second they rear their heads. a thoroughly laid-back and relaxed dude, whose peaceful vibes are thoroughly contagious. hershel’s good with both his hands and his words, making him a beloved, A+ neighbor to have around.
when he’s not trotting around town looking for a way to kill some time, hershel works back at his mom’s ranch. ever since his two mothers retired, the place has been fueled by the sheer force of his elbow grease. the man values only one thing more than some good, honest labor: his family! he dotes over his younger sisters almost an embarrassing amount, and is particularly proud of their equally large interest in horses. good lord does he love horses. does the cowboy hat make it obvious?
