M. RAMIREZ: Of course.

curious, chris tabs out of his game and opens a document with a black background. the wisps are still on the screen. they're moving. then, he hears a high-pitched gasp, and the wisps suddenly shoot away.
there's not a lot that scares chris, but this definitely comes close.
chris is playing vidya games at night and suddenly notices purple wisps in his screen's reflections. spooky shit.

was discontinued after a few chapters lol
“alright, do you remember when i said that if i met the right one, i’d marry her on the spot?” link says. “well, i did meet her.”
“well, i can see that… you probably didn’t marry her.” zelda swings her legs over the ledge and hops into the room, crouching down beside link. “if you don’t mind me asking… what happened?”
link closes his eyes. “i killed her.”
or, link confesses his guilt to zelda, and the bearer of wisdom helps link forgive himself.
depictions of sickness, emetophobia, hallucinations, blood, self-deprecation
the only issue is that he can’t even be at rest when he sleeps, being plagued by nightmares and visions of the past. link might have escaped the hurting limbs, but that is instead exchanged with something even worse. so when he sleeps, all he wants to do is wake up, but when he’s awake, he just wants to be asleep.
so, yeah. life sucks.
after the events of link’s awakening, link washes up on hyrule with a terrible fever and a lot more guilt on his back.
Slowly, Marin places down the sails and shuffles over to the boy, kneeling beside his quiet body and shaking him a couple times.
“Hello?” she calls out softly, nudging him in the abdomen worriedly. “Hello-o-o? Are you alright?”
As expected, no response from the pinkhead. Well, this stroll certainly hasn’t gone as planned. She has never expected to just stumble across a random body one day much less know how to deal with it, but there’s a first time for everything.
Marin’s routine and sheltered life took a drastic turn the day she found that boy shipwrecked along the coast.

“is that your first response?” a voice that sounds suspiciously like his own echoes back, bouncing around the abyss like an empty ballroom. “to fight?”
“of course it’s to fuckin’ fight off creeps like you,” link shoots back, instinctively turning towards the direction of the voice. “in case you weren’t keeping up, that’s my job, dumbass.”
“don’t act like you don’t enjoy partaking in killing innocents just to feel excitement in your life.”
or, link has a nightmare that pushes him to leave hyrule.
“speaking of which,” link remarks after a bit, “isn’t it kinda ironic that my first mission happened ‘cause you got captured? guess i really did keep that promise, huh?” link lets a short burst of air out his nose. “didn’t realize it until now. must’ve forgotten about it.”
zelda laughs in response (link catches an ever-so-fleeting flash of shame over her face, but it’s gone before he can bring it up). “would you still invite me to adventure with you now, though?”
even with years of friendship together, circumstances have reshaped the two triforce bearers. so on a sunny day, link and zelda reflect on their changes through life and their bygone childhood.
there’s a light of hope in the bleakness that they did live their best lives possible together, but in no way can zelda ever imagine living happily without link. he’s a part of her in the best way possible, yet still… she made everything so hard for him. the day they met was a blessing for her and a curse for link. because of this, zelda has no choice but to grapple with the truth that… she needs link likely more than he needs her.
or, link and zelda take care of zelda’s neglected paperwork from link’s absence. after their discussion drifts to link’s time on koholint, zelda begins to consider that perhaps it would have been better for link had he never met her.
