Alphafloss have evolved since ancient times to be immune to high heats and are even inflammable. Their fur and skin is made of a different material than most floss that results in their ability to be lit on fire and even swim in magma without repercussions. The blood and saliva of an Alphafloss is said to be able to heat up to passed boiling and can even catch fire when exposed to oxygen, though it does not damage them. Alphafloss heat up when they are excited or have elevated heart rate and some can diffuse this heat through vents on their bodies, causing them to spontaneously catch fire when they get "heated". Controlling their temperature and flame abilities is taught to Alphas at a young age and is taught to be of the upmost importance, especially to those who live around other clans. Being unable to control ones own power or emotion is shamed and seen as a low and disgusting trait.

The vast majority of Alpha is consistent of deserts that are infertile and impossible to grown crops in. However some sparse farms are able to cultivate palm and cactus fruits for consumption. Most of Alpha's cuisine is built around aquatic fish that are caught from the few rivers and lakes in southern Alpha and the shores around the clan, though they tend to be less common the further inland you go. Some dairy and herd animals are able to be farmed towards the outer regions but most of Alpha relies on imports from more sustainable clans. The Alpha's diet and cuisine consists mostly of meats, sauces, and spices. Trying to be a vegetarian in Alpha is almost unheard of.

Because of the nature of their abilities, Alpha have always been a force of destruction and power. They believe in personal strength and building on one's power and that when those strong powers are put together they become the greatest force. Respect in Alpha is often tied to physical power and leaders tend to be the strongest of the group. Battles to determine who is strongest, both legal and illegal, are common in Alpha. From the outside this way of life can seem brutish and toxic, but it tends to be more complex than that. "Power" in Alpha can take many shapes. All Alphafloss are born with great power inside them, but the controlling of that power is where they find true strength. Being able to harness the power within them and conquer it is the real test of strength. The Alpha who can both dish out great power and at the same time show restraint, gentleness, and finesse is the Alpha that is most respected.

As the powers Alphafloss wield are unbiased, so too are the Alphafloss themselves. Though their lifestyle and beliefs may seem overly masculine, they have never seen much divide between powerful men and women. Throughout Alpha history there has been great diversity in their leaders and powerful icons. Man or woman, young or old, big or small, thin or overweight, Alphafloss do not see these things, they only see you for the raw power you can control and the confidence with which you wield it.

Ancient Alphafloss fashion would usually fit into one of two categories. Wealthy Alphafloss who lived near the oasis would often be topless, with gold and gems that were mined from the southern mountain range or traded from the gold-rich Gamma. They would often wear baggy clothing or very little as their flames would singe and destroy their clothes. Floss in the western side of the nation were renown for their colorful weaving and would often incorporate that into their clothing. With colorful loose fitting outfits and dresses embroidered with decorative designs.
A few decades ago Alpha scientists with aid from the Zeta developed cloth types that were impervious to heat and flame to some degree, most Alphafloss use these flame proof materials for not only their clothing, but construction, furniture, and even for creation of paper products. The discovery of these materials heavily changed what was available for Alphafloss and their fashion greatly evolved to more modern styles that could withstand their high heat. Patriotic Alphas (which most are, the general population are proud of their military) tend to wear military camo and dog tags in their outfits.

Here are some common attributes shared by the members of the Alpha Clan. Does your floss fit the mold? Or are they an odd man out? Either way these are some stereotypes they may be compared to by other Candyfloss throughout their lives.

• Hot headed ; Though it is not always true, floss will sometimes assume Alphafloss to be hot headed and selfish. Some Alphas do fit this mold and make a bad impression for those who are more humble.
  
  
•  Powerful ; Alpha are undeniably the strongest clan when it comes to hand to hand combat, weapons training, and their pyrokenetic ability. Unlike other clans, every single Alpha goes through combat training in public school and is taught to control their powers from a young age. This results in most Alpha being a force to be reckoned with.
  
  
• Confident ; Alphafloss are big on body positivity and sexual liberty. As such, Alphafloss tend to be very confident and sexy. They are flirty and have high self esteem.
  
  
•  Loyal ; Alphas tend to find themselves drawn to large family and friend groups. They are charismatic and can easily win people over with their charm and power. They are very loyal to their community groups and will fight to defend them if necessary,
  
  
•  Dangerous ; Alphafloss' abilities are very lethal, and as such they have to always be in control of the power raging inside of them for the safety of others. In history there has been Alphafloss who do not take control, and have been responsible for death and destruction. This uncertainty can make other floss around them concerned or hesitant to trust them. They see Alphafloss as ticking time bombs. This is why the Alpha stress training and control so heavily.
