Calling the Chimecayote a Pet is a little misleading. These viscous animals are near impossible to tame and are wild, dangerous beasts.  They move in small packs and hunt wild Trojan and Almaroo that go too deep into their territory. They arent afraid of anything, and lone floss may end up on their dinner menue too if theyre not careful. The Chimecayote are fast with their powerful heindlegs and rock hard heads they can down whole oak trees with a single headbutt, and that's just one of their heads, the snakes appendages that grow from their rear can move silently and with shocking speed. Their many jaws can break boulders in two and the venom from one of their bites can kill a Gamma in seconds. The Cayote's Soul Gem is hidden on one of the three snake heads and can make it very risky and difficult to take one down. Strong rock formations form mirroring the creature's skeleton on certain parts of their bodies that can be near impossible to break. Legends say if you cut off the wrong snake's head, then two more will grow in it's place. Though a bit exaggerated, this is actually not baseless. When a snake head that does not contain the Cayote's Soul Gem is severed, in time it will regrow a new working head! And in very rare cases mutations can occur causing two heads to grow on the same neck. This is super uncommon, but likely is the cause of the legend! These critters are dangerous with a capital D and are generally hunted when they come too close to floss civilization. Though over-hunting of them is discouraged. In some Gamma towns, deep in the brush, you can hear the howling of the Cimecayote at night. It's a lonely sound far off on the horizon.
