Meet the Nu Clan

They are a people built on competition, in the olden times they held great tournaments and battle games but in more modern times have developed into ball sports like Omadaball. They have strong beliefs in fairness, good sportsmanship, fair competition, striving to better yourself, and team play. They value protecting the weak, and physical fitness. They respect authority and value allies. They are always up for a challenge and most conflicts are resolved with a bet and a competition.
The Nu have a historic past of battle sport and would solve many of their problems with a challenge and a game. Most of their games were gladiatorial in the past but in modern times they enjoy friendly sporting matches.
The hot weather in Nu and the sport-minded culture leads most to wear light, loose fitting garb that is never too lavish. They tend to wear things that are easy to move in and can get worn or dirty. Tough clothing that can be cleaned easily is valuable. They focus a lot on footwear and many Nufloss are proud of their sneaker collections.
The land in the Northern part of Nu is barren and hard to cultivate, but you can find a wealth of cacti and succulent plants with sweet nectary centers. Towards the South the ground is more fertile and root vegetables are harvested as well as hanging fruits and melons. Most of the food in Nu is meat based, with hunting chocolate creatures and fishing for gummy fish in the harbors bringing in most of their delicacies
Most of the roads in Nu are formed with brick and packed dirt. They travel via dune buggy-esque vehicles that are usually tough and big wheeled. It's also popular for people to travel by motorcycle and bicycle.
attributes
Here are some common attributes shared by the members of the Nu Clan. Does your floss fit the mold? Or are they an odd man out? Either way these are some stereotypes they may be compared to by other Candyfloss throughout their lives.
- Rough | Nu floss are known for being raised in a harsh environment, and expected to be rough, tumble and hardy enough to survive. This stereotype can lead to weaker bodies floss to be insecure or overestimated.
- Heroic | The Nu’s reputation is one of protecting the weak, and thus are expected to do so when the opportunity arises. They are often the hero in times of crisis.
- Uncivilized | Some floss view the Nu as dirty, uncultured, and brutish. They are often used as the butt of jokes and mocked for this (mostly untrue) stereotype.
- Stubborn | Nu are a very competitive people on the whole, which can lead individuals to be expected to follow suit. Being unable to refuse a challenge is something people generalize about them.
- Loyal | Nufloss throughout history have been known to be extremely trustworthy allies, and tend to carry these beliefs with them. They are known to never betray those they are close to and too always side with the masses. Of course this expectation can be used by other floss to trick and abuse them, or vice versa.
History
The Nu and Mu clans were not always allies, in fact they have a historical past of fighting with one another in war over territory. They didn't understand each other and fought because of their differences. The Mu clan was prim and proper and hated the Nu clan’s reckless abandon and dangerous sports. The princess of the Nu clan at the time was called Ava. She didn't like the wars and hated the Mu because she was taught that their cold detached attitude was what was causing the conflict. One day while exploring near the border, Ava found her way deep in the forest at the edge of the brush and stumbled into a beautiful flower garden. There she met a young girl from the other side of the war. The two were like minded and when first seeing each other’s clan gem they kept their distance, unsure of what the other would do. It didn’t take long for the two playful girls to begin loosening up and talking together about the beauty of the field they were lost in. They began to laugh and played until dark and seemed to not mind each others’ clans. When they heard their families calling to them from beyond the forest the girls went their separate ways with a promise to return. The next day they met again and talked and played together despite their clans’ conflict. It was a place for them both to escape the war torn worlds they came from. At first they were at odds, finding many things that they thought of differently, but after talking they came to understand each other and made new revelations about their neighboring clan members. A newfound respect was formed. The two girls met in the field for many weeks until the front lines of the war closed in and soldiers from each front started to tear down the forest. Ava and her new friend, Margaux, stood their ground and when the two earring sides came together in the flowering field they stopped them, sharing what they learned from one another they were able to convince their families to make peace. From then on the two clans, Nu and Mu, have shared the sacred land between their nations and built their capitals around the little forest and flower field where there now stands a great statue of the two princesses that learned to find compromise.

The current leader of Nu is Queen Madeline Shiloh. She is sporty, athletic, spunky, and energetic. Known for her athleticism and skill at most sports, Maddie is actually a warm hearted girl who loves to laugh and spend time with her friends and teammates. She's hard working and wont back down from a challenge. Madeline is married to the leader of the Mu clan, Noah, and has a hand in ruling Mu as their queen in addition to her own nation. Madeline is the protective leader of the Nu Clan. She is curious to a fault, very optimistic, and often gets in trouble when her husband isn't around. She can be a bit dense and doesn’t pick up on social cues, and doesn’t realize when Noah is being sarcastic. She enjoys being active, but she struggles somewhat with her power and doesn’t have a whole lot of time on her hands to be a part of the sporting events. Maddie and Noah are the only two leaders from their clans to ever have wed, and it caused quite a stir when they first started seeing each other behind their parents’ backs. They have known each other since they were little and are uncomfortable when the other is not around. Though they had hardships in the start the two star-crossed lovers did not give in and now their families share a table at holidays. She and Noah have six wonderful children together, and she doesn’t know what she would do without her family or her clan.

Nu territory
The Nu territory is a hot, dusty land home to many creatures and tough Nufloss. The majestic region is covered in wave like sparce grasslands and interesting rock formations and caves. The arid territory also houses interesting cities and amazing competitions of Floss strength.nature
Nu is a dry land with hot temperatures and high winds. Rain is common coming in from the southern sea and dust storms are common in the northern region. The sky above Nu is mostly clear with seldom cloud cover in the dry season and has a hue of lime green, that becomes yellow and eventually orange as they meet with Mu in the West.
The biome in Nu varies from the Eastern side to the west as it mingles with Mu. On the East side of Nu the land is dry and not very fertile. There are large stretches of hilly plains that grow dried savannah grasses and brush and not many if any larger trees. There is an abundance of clifflike landforms and a number of rivers and lakes. As you move westward the land becomes more green and eventually cools down to a more temperate landscape with green grasses and small patches of oak forest.

Inigo FlatsThis is a dangerous area where many giant rock formations are found sitting in such a way that it looks like they could topple over at any moment. Exploration is frowned upon as this is also considered a sacred area that houses rarer plant life and creatures.
Chadwick Caverns
The Chadwick Caverns are a cave system with a river running through it where people take boat rides and get to explore the open caves. But beware, it's also where a particularly large and scary Tryopaw lives and guards the large pack that lives there. It's dangerous to wander too far from the tour guide.

Maelie Neor
The capital city of Nu is combined with the capital of Mu, the twin cities are more distinct towards their outer edges and in the center come together around a protected forest glen and flower field that contains a monument to their clan’s alliance. The city is tall and grand, with two great castles on either side with an underground tunnel system connecting the two. The roads are paved in brick and are lush and decorated. The hilly landscape leads to many roads and walkways to curve up and down, giving buildings an interesting tiered look. Markets are often open on the streets selling wares, flowers, and cheeses.
Giles Canyon
Giles Canyon is a large city that is built over hanging a large canyon. Some buildings are actually built into the cliffside going down, but others seem to almost float out into space, only held up by the complicated supports. There's a large river at the base of the canyon which has dangerous rapids, so falling in is unwise. The city itself is rustic and industrial.
Fort Hadwinx
This is a city that was once a military base that has now been converted into a major shipping port for all of lower Glykos. The beaches are covered in stones and pebbles with deep cold waters. The city buildings are tall and mostly built from metal and wood. There is a famous school here known for being the ideal college for floss looking to get into pro sports.
Aberforth
Aberforth is an interesting town built near a geyser. The houses and buildings are mostly on stilts because of the rush of water. There is damage to the ground so the streets are mostly wooden bridges hung between buildings.
Conallville
There is a small village near an oasis in the middle of a particularly dry and arid section of Nu where tremors and sand storms prevent the building of roads. As such it is home to a large number of creatures from packs of giant stomping Tryopaws to roaming prides of Charion. Tourists can take safari trips to view the animals and get up close and personal with farm raised Roo pets.

Athlitismós Fest
Gather with your loved ones around your buffet of snacks and cheer on your team!! Join the Mu and Nu for this world-wide grand sporting event! "Αθλητισμός" or "Athlitismós" means "Sports Fest" and is a day of comradery and friendly competition! The Nu clan pride themselves in contests of strength and the Omádaball Championship is the epitome of their athletic prowess! What used to be a Nu only tradition has since broadened to an event celebrated by all of Caramella! Gather around for a backyard cookout and watch the game with your neighbors and friends. Athlitismós Fest is a heart racing event for all Floss far and wide to pick their favorite team and scream their hearts out at each fumble and goal. Take a moment to gather with your loved ones and enjoy the festivities.The Nu celebrate their holiday in February
Omadaball is the most celebrated sport in all of Caramella. The Mu and Nu teams both managed to face off at the championships for a legendary game in 2020.
Leader Madeline is an avid player of most sports but sites basketball as her passion.
Clan power
Force fields
The Nu Clan’s power is the ability to generate force fields and manipulate energy. They can create platforms and walls, stop things in motion, and lift things that they normally wouldn’t be able to. Younger users’ force fields are weaker, smaller, and cannot go very far away from the user. They also have to use physical gestures to help shape what they want while masters of the ability can just think how they want the field and it will comply.

Nu exclusive trait
force material type
This material can be applied as legendary rarity
and is an incorporeal trait, and is retractable.
These new materials are special in the way they move and form! Both the Nu and Mu traits are not solid and are not bound to one shape! This means one floss can be drawn with feather shaped wings on one drawing, bat wings on another, and bug wings in another! the traits must still be classified as the allowed "animal shaped tails" "horn shaped horns" "ring shaped halos" and "wing shaped wings" unless you use an admin only shaped trait! any shapes that you'd like to use on your floss must be approved by either the myo approval or the design change approval systems! you can add shapes at any time to your mu or nu's trait by running it through the redesign center with new examples of the shapes you'd like! there is no limit on the number of shapes they can hold! These traits are sometimes "pulled out" or "put away" but the blood wounds or force points are always visible! they can be mixed with other material types as long as the other part of the trait can stand alone without the force/blood being pulled out! The trait type is still bound to their respective Flavors (wings to sugar, tails to truffle etc.) and must still be placed in their allowed areas, this just effects the material type! Remember taffyfloss tails are bound to be the fish material and cant be changed to special material types!
The Nu's Force trait is formed out of natural force that flows through all Nufloss! This is the same force they use in their Force Field abilities! It is formed with a translucent light that is impervious to pressure (with different strength levels depending on the nu's ability) It is a solid color (palette bound) and has a sort of white mesh pattern that holds it together! At the edges is tends to blur before disappearing entirely. It does not give off any light, and ripples like water when touched.

Dyopaw
Two personalities sharing one body - the Dyopaw are a living embodiment of cooperation and unity. Each head of the Dyopaw has an incomplete face, relying on it's better half to survive. Some are born with mismatched faces, which require extra care from their Candyfloss owners. The Dyopaw are often at odds with themselves, struggling between laziness and hyperactivity, timidness and bravery, obedience and defiance. Tryopaw
Thats right! When they experience true bliss the Dyopaw evolve into their bigger better form: the Tryopaw! Stronger! Faster! More heads! These wrinkly beasts are a massive undertaking for any floss who chooses to raise one! The Tryopaw are glorious doggos that are extremely loyal and playful! Their three heads all have unique personalities, and require different levels of training and attention from their floss companions! but once they bond with their floss owners they will love you for life! Bala-bala
The Bala-Bala is a playful Petpet! Thought to be relatives of the Mousiki, these creatures are energetic, curious and affectionate. The Bala-Bala live in large family groups in the forests of the Nu outback. They love to swing from the trees, dig in the dirt and run through the arid grasslands that they call home. These small gymnasts love to use their force sheilds to create platforms and ramps to help them navigate their environment and play on. It's not uncommon to see a Bala-Bala create a tall jungle-gym style structure for itself and it's companions to swing and jump around on for no apparent reason aside from having fun.Read more about this pet on their pet page below.

The Macho Almaroo call the grasslands of Nu their home. There small marsupials leap and bound with their strong back legs through the brush and grasses that spot the hills. No larger than a Floga Drakai, the Macho Almaroo is a great companion and pet for the floss of Nu. However they are a bit to handle at first, the Macho Almaroo is a tough opponent, and love to kick, tackle and claw at anything they deem a threat. Even the great Tryopaw stay away from a pack of Almaroo, or they'd walk away with three bloody snouts! Tame Macho Almaroo can even play ball! Incredibly smart, these petpets can be taught to bounce back balls and even kick them into goal nets if theyre trained well, making them great buddies to the aspiring Omadaball players of Nu!Read more about this pet on their pet page below.

The Greater Almaroo are tough opponents who love to pick fights with each other, other petpets or even unsuspecting floss that cross their paths. With their insane strength in their punches and kicks the Greater Almaroo is the master of hand to hand combat, and to put a cherry on top their mastery of force field generation makes their defenses just as impressive.
