Phi’s are glamorous people who really value hard work but only if it's in entertainment. They believe absolutely that evoking strong emotion through their art is the end all be all of life. They want to tell their stories for the benefit of others and will often judge even other Phi’s by this strict expectation. They cherish beauty in all things, especially in themselves, striving for perfection with their appearance and talents as a way to measure their success. It can be a hard place to live for those who are not accustomed to the high standard Phi’s hold themselves to. 

Being sandwiched between a tropical lush jungle and plentiful ocean shore, the Phi’s food is varied, fresh, and very delicious. The Phi chefs hold themselves to the same standards as the entertainers making cuisine in Phi not like anything else you can find in the world. It consists of traditional food, bright flavorful fruits and spices from the jungle along with tender animal meats and also very fresh fish. The fish market in East Phi rivals that of the Lambda fish markets. What the Phi chefs do with these ingredients is above and beyond what the other clans can do. When it comes to food, Phi’s hold it to the highest standard and want to be amazed every time they sit down for a meal.

Combative Phi’s are hard to come by as Phifloss often feel they are above petty arguments and allowing disagreements to come to violence, especially when it comes to war. Phi’s respect emotion and various viewpoints, even those they don’t personally agree with. It can be difficult if you want to fight with a Phi because they refuse to get angry over petty things. A Phi is more likely to start a rap or dance battle with you to understand their viewpoint than to come to arms and fight with violence. That isn’t to say that martial arts are not present in Phi, it is simply used nobly in competition and entertainment. Forms like sword play, boxing, Judo, and Karate are included in this. These competitions are seen as social events where two parties aren’t at odds with each other and rather are competing to show their skill.

Phifloss live a lavish lifestyle compared to other clans due to the type and quality of the work in Phi. Most people who can afford to live in the clan live quite a wealthy lifestyle. Earning money and other kinds of wealth is important and is an important status symbol among the Phi. All Phi’s are expected to strive for this. Because of the expectation they hold for themselves, they can’t be replaced and their exports are wanted by the entire world. It is very difficult for talented Phi to not find work. When a Phi sees someone who is not wealthy, they will often judge that person as someone who does not value hard work and bettering oneself. Although Phifloss try to understand the lifestyles of other clans, like the sluggish Kappa or the carefree lambda (their neighbors), they tend to decide that their way of life is superior.

Traditional clothing in Phi, before mass civilization, consisted of materials that they could salvage from their jungle environment. This included animal pelts and woven fabrics that were brightly colored with bold patterns that were adorned with bone and shell jewelry, and found gems. Some of these elements found their way into contemporary designs though they tend to not be made of the same materials although they look similar. Phi’s who perform in the modern era usually have bold and shocking outfits that use bright colors and patterns often made with sequins and latex. They want to stand out, make their mark, and be remembered. Phi that are more down to earth and work in the industries tend to still wear bright colors and patterns, but more toned down and appropriate. They would still pick a colorful pair of jeans over the traditional blue or black. Phi’s like to make a brand for themselves and stick to it, choosing one or two styles for both casual and formal attire.

Here are some common attributes shared by the members of the Phi Clan. Does your floss fit the mold? Or are they an odd man out? Either way these are some stereotypes they may be compared to by other Candyfloss throughout their lives.
 

• Adventurous ; Phifloss are usually willing to try something new and will take on challenges just for the fun and entertainment of it. They are usually the first to volunteer when other floss are afraid, happily taking on activities like skydiving, bungee jumping, and riding the biggest roller coaster in the local theme park. For Phi that are more cautious, this assumption of their nature can cause them problems as they tend to experience a lot of peer pressure to do things that they aren’t comfortable with.
  
  
•  Superficial ; Other floss view Phifloss as being superficial, materialistic, and frivolous. They tend to see the collected wealth of successful Phi as evidence that they only care about what they do or don’t have. Many floss are jealous of how wealthy Phi can be not realizing that Phi have social expectations to be as successful as possible.  
  
  
•  Indecisive ; Phi can be very indecisive when presented with a lot of options. This can make things difficult when faced with decisions from big ones like what kind of career they want to pursue to little ones like what they are going to wear for the day. Indecisiveness is the leading cause of being late and diva fits in the Phi Clan.  
  
  
• Irresistible ; Floss from the Phi Clan are undeniably attractive. Their grace and beauty stands out from the other clans. Phi deserve the adoration they get though since their good looks usually come from a lot of hard work and meticulous grooming. This can be a source of stress for them, however, as there are a lot of expectations for Phi to not slack in this particular area.
  
  
• Vain ; A lot of floss think that Phifloss are vain and full of themselves. They tend not to see the hard work that Phi puts into themselves that gives them the feeling of being proud of themselves which they don’t hide around other floss. A lot of floss are also jealous which tends to lead to nitpicking of a Phi’s confident attitude and seeing it as being vain.
