The magestic Cloud Altis are hard to  spot through most of the year,  but around Chioni time they can be  spotted scouting through the snow  fields of Zeta and Pagoto. They're  regal and proud creatures and will  not usually let Floss get close to  them. It's said they judge a floss  by looking into their eyes, and will  only allow the pure of heart to  come within reach of them. Cloud altis  have powerful snow magics, and  its said that the winter only comes  because they bring it along with  them. Even in warm climates a snow  storm will form near a group of  Cloud Altis, and snow can be found in  their hoof prints. Cloud Altis  get their name because of their  extraordinary ability to leap upon snow  flakes and frozen clouds making  it appear as if they are galloping  through the air. No Zetafloss has  ever been able to replicate this  ability. Cloud Altis can only be tamed  if they are raised in captivity  from childhood, and even then they can  be tempermental, but tend to be  very protective and loving to their  trainers. They especially love  kittenfloss and some Altis will even  permit a Kittenfloss to ride on  their backs, however keep close watch,  or they may just soar away with  your kitten when you're not looking.  Cloud Altis are Santafloss' very  favourite petpet.
