For a long time they were thought to be mythical beings but they are actually just a hidden group of cuties ready to fill Caramella with their laughter and joy! These floss are short of stature but big of heart! With their third set of arms, curled ears, crazy textured fur coverings and long lush lashes these little cuties are sure to stand out from the crowed! Their native forest environment has given them a natural color selection perfect for a cozy cottage feel and a taste for sweet syrups and nectar that are common in the Chi region!

About

All about the Honeyfloss!

History

Long ago during a time of war between the clans, the Honeyfloss fled into the northern continent of Pagoto to hide away and preserve their flavor from extinction. For many decades they lived under a bubble that kept their existence a secret and protected them from the warring clans. Now that the Honeyfloss have come out of hiding them have joined the other flavors of Caramella and opened their northern region up to their allied floss!

Biology

The Honeyfloss are very similar to Popfloss in terms of biology, but their small body types do come with some differences. Their skeletal structures are gnome-like in shape giving them dense, strong bones and bodies that are able to recover quickly. The most remarkable thing about the Honeyfloss is the way they age! The Honeyfloss live much longer than most Candyfloss, having lifespans nearly twice as long in the best cases! Wow! Though they live longer, they mature to adult hood at the normal rate, giving them many more years as young and middle aged adults but the same span of childhood. The Honeyfloss have adapted to grow thick tufts of fur in certain places on their bodies, over time these tufts have taken on different material types like some other traits on the Candyfloss. Their third set of arms jut out just between the normal set and are very dexterous and helpful in their day to day lives!
diet and homeland
The Honeyfloss were named after their love of all things sweet and sticky! Their favorite delicacy is honey made from an assortment of flowers and nectar and they are very proud of their Honey farms in Chi! Some other favorites of the Honeys are syrups, saps and nectars. They are also known to eat straight flowers, fruits, and berries that grown in their habitat. The Honeyfloss originate from the land of Chi! This clan is built just for the Honies and has smaller structures, furniture and roads that are built just for them! The barrier that surrounds Chi keeps it temperate in weather all year round and helps to regulate their day/night cycles. Inside the dome the Chi have grown strange giant plants and used them in their architecture. Homes in Chi might be carved out of large tree trunks, mushrooms or flower bulbs and the roads are paved with glistening gold mined in the norther tunnels! It's almost like a fantasy land!

preferred habitat
Though they are more comfortable in Chi the Honeyfloss can live all over Caramella! They are a resilient bunch, that are able to adapt well to other climates and cultures. The Honeyfloss may have trouble with accessibility but most other Candyfloss are willing to help out and make things easier for them. Even if they say they don't need assistance.

Colors!

Color rules for Honeyfloss!

Native color range
The native color range for Honeyfloss is the top half of the color sectors from Red 10 all the way to Mint 3! Much like the Taffyfloss and Brittlefloss, they can use any colors in the square so long as its hue is within the correct sectors! Here's an example of a common Honeyfloss palette! 78251508_UffpclRxmeFrxfO.png
Black and white
Like Taffy and Brittle, the black zone and white zone are included in Honey's native colors as well as all the colors in grey scale! Honeyfloss are not able to use black and white zoned colors at the same time though so be mindful of which one you are using if any!

Odd and 5th colors

Honeyfloss have no special palette rules, thus they use the regular 4 color palette. You can add to this using the Rare 5th color trait to add 1 more to the palette, and using the rare odd color trait to add a color that is not native to their flavor. Remember odd colors cannot be a 'base' color, meaning they cannot cover more than half of the floss' body and/or face. Here's a palette example with a 5th and odd color! 78251509_AxYdDQla9wjcefo.pngHave questions about your Honeyfloss' palette? Ask for help in our official discord!
VYey9Ej.png All colors along the square can be used by Honeyfloss! The top half of the color sectors are native from 10 to 3! 78251506_hUPGRIU581ITICB.pngTrouble using the gauge? Try this!
These are the border colors for the Honeyfloss native range. Color pick one of the colors on the left to see where the Honeyfloss range sits on your art program. The 1st color is as far as you can get while still being in sector 10, the 2nd is as far as you can go in sector 3. The 3rd colors are as close to the white zone as you can get without crossing into it, both in saturation and brightness. And the last grey is as close as you can get to the black zone without crossing into it! Hope this helps!

body

Honeyfloss have unique body types!

small stature
Honeyfloss have unique body structures. The average Honeyfloss stands about half the height of an average Popfloss, and tend to have gnome-like proportions. Their small bones are dense and strong and they tend to be less susceptible to physical damage and disease than the other flavors. Honey's are known to be small but powerful and dislike it when people belittle them or treat them like they need assistance. Like all floss, Honey's can have a variety of body types just with shorter limbs and more chibi-like proportions. We recommend using a base with very chibi proportions for references.78251525_0I3iHq4i0yq2UQv.png

78251510_NsTYSLokIzia4II.png
Extra arms!

The most striking feature of the Honeyfloss is their 3 sets of arms! Even a Candyfloss is surprised to see a flavor with extra arms! The Honeyfloss' third set of arms is placed just between the regular sets, and aids them in their dexterity and day-to-day activities. Like all Floss Honeys use all 6 of their hands regularly and in expert tandem with one another.

comb gems!
The soul gems and ornament gems on a Honeyfloss are "comb" shaped, meaning they are made of thin lines of gem and hollow inside! Check out some examples with more complex clan gems! The material and function act the same as regular gems, but if they are damaged they have a harder time recovering due to their thin surfaces. This huge weakness makes Honeyfloss glass cannons of sorts. Notice, the Alpha gem, in the center, is composed of 2 rings instead of just 1.
78251523_mxSPUtWRvum39hV.png
ear curls!
The Honeyfloss ear is similar to a regular floss ear in length and variety. They can point forward, upward or downward. The unique part is the tips of the ears that extend and curl. Curls can be looser or tighter and can curl upways or downways. The curl is known to tighten when the floss cringes or scrunches up their face, and would hurt if you tried to straighten it out. It has cartridge inside, and can be studded or pierced.
78251520_xHpcRYjmvzUZmG8.png
Thick Lashes
Another unique part of Honeys' bodies are their long, noticeable lashes that surround their eyes. Their lashes must be clearly visible on all Honeyfloss! Their lashes are usually the same color as their hair but can be any palette color. There are a few styles to choose from, and can be grown from just the top, just the bottom or both lids. They can have as little as 1 lash, or several.

Fur fluff!

Great! Now that you've got the body down lets get started adding the extra fur to your Honeyfloss!

areas
Fur fluff grows on specific places on the Honeyfloss' body.  Beautiful, clean, unique fur fluffs are thought of as being the most attractive part of a Honeyfloss, those who do not groom their fur or have little or no fur fluff are thought of as being ugly and distasteful.

CommonUncommonRareLegendaryWhite is off limits

textures
The fur that grows from these areas acts somewhat like head-hair and can have various textures, like thick or thin, curly, straight, or kinky. They usually match the texture of the floss' head-hair. The length of the hair (regardless of material type) can only be three inches away from the floss' fur. It just seems to s top growing at that length.

78251471_oqEozaXja6MtaAW.png
shapes
The fur can be shaved but will grow back the next day. Most Honeyfloss have several ways they like to wear their fur. These examples show the same fur patch with several shaved styles. 78251504_CPDfgQuRfwDbhky.pngLike  with Mu and Nu traits, you can register several styles for your floss  by showing them in your MYO or Redesign approval to get approved. Once a  design for their fur is approved it can be interchanged on your floss.  Some materials cannot be changed regularly so be sure to check your material type below!

Important!

Though the shape changes, the material and color of the fur that grows in any given area cannot change without a permanent redesign. Material types don't have to match each other and can be mixed unless the material states otherwise.
Material types!
78251475_sJcuHdpLUAmlfEz.png
Fur
The Fur material is standard on Honeyfloss and can be found on most of the population. Other materials are less common. Details about the fur type can be found above. The fur material is bound by palette and must be solid colored for a floss with a common or blank coat type. Fur material can be shaved to give different looks for the same floss.
Fur Material Type is Common

78251480_voLR1NdqXtaqRi4.png
candy/pastry
Candy and Pastry Material follows the same rules as on other traits. The material must be EASILY identified as candy or pastry at a glance. We recommend using brand named candies. These candies do not taste good, and are a part of the floss' body so eating them would be akin to cannibalism. That said, they can be removed from the body, broken off, or eaten by other creatures and will eventually grow back. The shapes of pastry and candy generally take their natural shape, but can be given specific shapes using the Admin Shaped Trait.  Candy/Pastry material can be "shaved" to give different looks for the same floss.
Candy Type is Uncommon

78251478_3lY3AN8XdEBdVhQ.png
Liquid/goo
Goo type is gelatinous in nature and holds its shape. It is constantly wet to the touch and secretes non-stop. Though it has many looks, the goo is always the same substance. The goo evaporates quickly when separated from the main gelatinous body. the goo can be opaque or translucent. Small items can be shoved inside the goo but cannot take up too much space (roughly 25%) before it starts to disrupt the trait and hurt. The goo is naturally simple even blobs but can be given specific shapes with the Admin Shaped Trait. Goo material can be "shaved" to give different looks for the same floss by applying a topical cream that stops the production of goo from the skin for a limited time..
Goo Type is Rare

78251482_Ioe7EdDNRfAQHcq.png
plant
Plant type follows the same rules as on other traits. It includes fruits and veggies, but not underwater plants like coral. The plant material type, like all materials, must be easy to identify as plant. Like candy, it does not taste good and shouldnt be eaten by floss. As seasons change, the plant materials color may change and leaves may wither and fall off. Some plants even grow nuts, berries or bloom flowers at certain times. If youd like several variations for your plant material please register them with your MYO or Redesign approval. The shapes of the plants generally take their natural shape, but can be given specific shapes using the Admin Shaped Trait.  Plant material can be "shaved" to give different looks for the same floss.
Plant Types are Legendary

78251485_mb4IPfJ3O5C1ELs.png
mechanical
Like all Mechanical traits, these are not naturally occurring on floss. Mechanical traits are augmentations that are applied to the floss through surgery! Mechanical material follows the same rules as on other traits. It must include metal and mechanical moving parts that function. Things like paneling, screws and bolts, wires and hinges help get across the mechanical look. Light bulbs are included in this material type as are LED screens. However they must be easy to identify. Mechanical pieces tend to take their natural shapes but can be made to have specific shapes using the admin only shaped trait. Mechanical material cannot be "shaved" or changed out.

Mechanical Types are Legendary
78251487_PaxZNklDr4VleeR.png
 Smoke
Smoke material type is similar to goo as it has a more dense base that emits smoke constantly.  This smoke dissipates almost immediately and is not harmful to floss or the environment. The smoke can be opaque or translucent. It can come out in thin wafts or thick cloud like puffs. Smoke generally comes out of the skin naturally but can be "Shaped" to have certain areas where the smoke avoids or doesn't flow using the Admin Shaped Trait. Smoke can be "Shaved" by applying a topical cream that stops the production of smoke from the skin for a limited time.
Smoke Types are Legendary
78251489_LFSUzjHBx7dFFeb.png
 Clan exclusive materials
Clan exclusive materials can be applied but follow their normal clan material rules. Their shapes and rules vary so be sure to ask if you're unsure about some specific materials. some materials like Theta Monster have been given examples of their use on a Fur Fluff on their respective clan charts.

Clan Exclusive Types are Legendary
78251494_LRF1OF0mM3AmtRV.png
shaped metal
Unlike Mechanical, the Shaped metal traits are naturally occurring. The 'shaped metal' Material is different from Mechanical in that it can be a solid non-functioning decorative metal piece. This is restricted as an admin only material type. This material cannot be "Shaved" and changed.
Shaped Metal Type is Admin Only

MYO Checklist!
78251467_45DW1td625pZRpi.png
  • Wow! Your Honeyfloss is looking great! Just add the hair and any add on traits you want and you'll have a fantastic looking Honeyfloss!
Before submitting your floss for approval though, let's look through the checklist for the mandatory requirements to pass approval!

    >Is your Candyfloss basic anatomy correct? Your floss should have no nose, no eyebrows, fur covered body,  a clan gem on their forehead, 4 fingers and 4 toes, and their 2nd and 3rd sets of arms extending from their sides, and the standard Candyfloss Eye type. Everything there? Great! If not revisit the general trait chart to review these requirements!
  • Next is your palette correct? If you're using a common myo you should have a 4 color palette using only colors from the native range for Honeyfloss. If you have the odd color or 5th color trait you can add an extra color or a color outside of the native range! Make sure if you're using an odd color, that it isn't covering more than 50% of the coat area! The exact percentage is not easily quantifiable so this is up to your approving admin!
  • Do you have all the required traits? Check to make sure your myo includes curled ear tips, small gnome-like proportions, thick visible eye lashes, 3 sets of arms, and a combed gem! All good? Great!
  • Have you chosen a clan for your floss? Check out all the clans and clan specific traits before deciding! Make sure your clan gem is visible on your floss and not covered by hair or clothing!
  • Great work! Now your Honeyfloss is ready for approval!
