Brittlefloss
Brittlefloss are a flavor of Candyfloss found deep in the Crystal caves of Glykos. The Brittlefloss are skiddish people and tend to keep to themselves but when their cave systems were collapsed during a great Earthquake they discovered the massive over-world and quickly integrated with the other Flavors and Clans on Caramella. The Brittlefloss are a kind people and were eager to share their inventions and powers with Caramella. The Brittles are masters of architecture, with their winding cave cities and intricate tunnel systems. The Brittles make use of their special abilities to dig and build in the elaborate caves. Their cities are marvels of ingenuity and craftsmanship.
About
All about the Brittlefloss!History
The Brittlefloss' history is one of savage survival and a strive to live. All original Brittlefloss were of the Omega clan until they were discovered. Starting in the caves of the Gamma mountains, the old factions of Brittlefloss fought against the natural beasts and harsh environments in their underground home; as well as against one another. War against other groups kept the Brittlefloss constantly on edge, struggling for survival. It wasn't until they found peace among themselves thanks to a resilient leader that pulled their factions together that they were able to start thriving in their unforgiving environment. When their forces were joined the Omega Brittlefloss could protect one another from their natural enemies and were able to develop their Crystal warping abilities to better take control of their land. Soon they found a sustainable water source in underground aquifers and found means to grow food. Their valiant leader grew old and passed the role onto their heir who was a mighty warrior. The 2nd king of Omega strengthened their army and forged hunting groups to bring their most fearsome predators to extinction. The 3rd monarch, a curious young woman, used her time in power to expand their mighty kingdom and put in place systems to travel between a multitude of settlements. Each king and queen as the years passed progressed the Brittlefloss farther and farther into the prosperous clan they are now.
Comic
One fateful day Caramella was stricken with a planet shattering Earthquake that ripped a chasm above the Omegaclan, exposing them to a bright, deafening sunlight. Towers and bridges crumbled under the powerful quake, and caused much damage to the Omegaclan as well as the world above. All of Glykos was shook to find a scar across Gamma's pristine fields, that opened up to a vast new world below. When the Gamma leader Grant risked his life to venture into the chasm, he discovered a group of Brittlefloss in peril, including their young leader, Roux. Always one to lend a hand, the Gammafloss and the rest of Caramella were quickly at the Brittlefloss' aid. After the dust had settled the curious Brittlefloss ventured up the great chasm to set gem-eyes on the mysterious new world that opened up to them. After some time the chasm that once brought destruction and chaos, was converted into an elevation transit to help floss of all kinds traverse in and out of the underground cities. Roux and their people easily struck a peace treaty with the rest of the clans and joined their fellow Candyfloss at the table of Caramellan leaders.
Biology
The Brittlefloss are a unique flavor and have - what a normal candyfloss would consider - bizarre bodies. Unlike other floss, Brittles are covered in smooth skin that glistens in the light. Where their eyes should be the Brittles have bright shimmering Gem stones, that see by reflecting and refracting light from their surroundings. Ears on a Brittlefloss are very thin and flop over onto themselves. The most remarkable part of the Brittlefloss are their mouths! There is never a mouth where it's supposed to be but instead Brittlefloss have mouths all over their bodies! Big mouths, small mouths, pointy mouths, or soft mouths, the Brittles are a sight to be seen. The mouths on the Brittles don't work quite like normal floss mouths, and do not have digestive tracts or vocal chords. Instead each mouth is attached to a small stomach like sack that fills with acid to dissolve things put inside and derive nutrients from them with no waste!
The Brittlefloss tend to be short, thin and flexible, ideal for the climbing and spelunking that they use to traverse their homeland. They measure on average about as short as a Sugarfloss. Their large floppy ears perk up to hear small sounds from far distances, and their Crystal eyes can sense even the smallest glimmer of light from miles away. When exposed to the over-world most native Omegafloss will cower from the brightness of the sun, though mixed breeds dont seem to have this problem.
Brittlefloss Kittens are very fragile and easily harmed, therefor they cling to their motherfloss for much longer than an average kitten. Brittle kittens will be born with their eyes closed shut, and usually wont open them until several days to a week after birth. Without the ability to cry out for help they need constant attention and are usually lost within the first year of their lives if they do not live in safe settlements. In the warm caves of Omega the kittenfloss are able to grow comfortably, but above ground they tend to chill easily and will need to be bundled up. It's practically a death sentence to try and raise a Brittle Kittenfloss in the cold regions of Psekazi, and many Brittles who choose to live their will migrate to warmer climates when they're ready to settle down and raise a family. Because of the fragility of their race, the Brittlefloss are very protective of their young and mothers, and celebrate marriage and family above all else
homeland
The Brittlefloss breed a rich culture in their ever-expanding underground cities. From their lucrative mines to their lush underground farms the Brittles are masters of their environment. The Brittlefloss in the cities study the flora and fauna in their land as well as the many uses for the variety of Crystals Omegafloss can control and cultivate. The Brittlefloss have intense sports they play in large arenas and love to train combat and battle for amusement. The arts flourish in their safe-haven cities as well. There's never a shortage of materials that can be crushed into beautiful paints, and molded into intricate sculptures. The art of blacksmithing and architecture are highly respected among their people. There's never a dull day in the Omega Clan.
Language
Brittlefloss are without vocal chords and instead have developed different means of communication. Body language and facial expression go a long way to help other Brittles know how you are feeling, and Brittlefloss have become very sensitive to small displays of emotion. In the deep caves or low light the Brittles use small sounds and vibrations to warn each other of danger. And when feelings and vibrations aren't enough to get across something the Brittlefloss turn to their own sign language they use to communicate complex thought. Epsilonfloss may have a hard time interpreting the thoughts of Brittles due to the dissidence of their language. However Floss scholars have done wonders in translating and can easily teach you their language, and vice versa
Colors!
Color rules for Brittlefloss!White and black
Any shade in the square section of the gauge is allowed!
This means white, black, and greys are also allowed on Brittlefloss, but they do abide by the rule that black zoned colors and white zoned cannot be used together.
odd colors
Candyfloss' color palettes are separated into "Native" and "Foreign" colors. The Brittlefloss' native colors are the left most colors, found in sectors 7-12 on the color wheel. Any colors in the right sections, (1-6) are foreign on a Brittlefloss and would need an "odd color trait" to be applied.

Special traits
Brittlefloss have unique bodies!
Mouths!
Brittlefloss are very unique from other floss flavors! Their most bazaar and unique feature is their mouths! It's not where it's supposed to be! There are no mouths on Brittlefloss faces or heads, but instead you can find many mouths placed elsewhere on their bodies! So weird! More info about the biology and diet of the Brittlefloss mouths is found above. The mouths on a Brittlefloss vary in many ways including color, pattern, lip type, tongue shapes, and more so take a look at all the awesome customization available for your Brittlefloss' unique mouths! 
Faceted soul gems!
The Clan gem in the center of your Brittlefloss' forehead and all ornament gems are cut! The "table" or flat part on the front of the gem must remain the gem's shape with cut sides! These can also have gradients but no markings unless they are for the segments on Epsilon or Psi, like normal clan gems! 
Eyes!
Brittlefloss eyes are unique to other floss. They are made of crystals! These crystals take in light and shadow and reflect and refract it, turning it into data for the Brittles to "see" with. They are sensitive to bright lights but are perfect for being able to see exceptionally well in low light. The Brittle's eye gems are always cut and the center plane, called a table, can be a number of shapes. The shape of the table can be any clan gem shape! It does not have to match the clan of the Brittlefloss. The tables must be the same shape and size in both eyes.
Brittlefloss eyes can have gradients but cannot have other markings. The eyes are palette bound, however in certain lights can seem to have specs of color in them. Please do not show specs of light in your nude ref when applying for MYO or redesign approval. Like all floss, Brittles have no eyebrows or natural eyelashes. They can wear false lashes as long as they're not included on a naked ref.
Skin!
That's right: skin! Unlike the rest of their species, Brittlefloss did not evolve to have furry bodies!They instead are covered with soft, human-like skin with very fine invisible peach fuzz in places. Their skin is - well - brittle and is easily bruised and torn. The brittle often wear leather or metallic armor when they leave the safety of their homes. Like all floss they do not have natural toe nails or fingernails but some choose to wear fake ones. If you want bruises or bloodied knees or false nails on your Brittlefloss do not include it on a naked ref. 
ears!
The ears on Brittlefloss are pointed with a dull end and are looser skin than most floss. The skin at the top of the ear tends to fold over creating a cone that helps the Brittlefloss detect small sounds and echos in their cave home.Mouths!

Mouth Placement
Mouths on a Brittlefloss can be placed in a number of areas on the body! Mouths can not overlap essential body parts like eyes, soul gems, other mouths etc. Each mouth is counted for a rarity individually. Every Brittlefloss is required to have at least 1 mouth somewhere on their body. Keep in mind when placing your mouths: mouths cannot be made to resemble other traits like wings or tails. Be mindful of this if you are using the back area of your Brittle.

Uncommon This area includes from the shoulders to the elbows on all arms, from the hip (along the bikini line and below the buttock) to just above the knee, around the back side of the limbs. |
| Rare this area includes the belly, lower back (to just above the buttock), the elbow to the wrist on all arms, and the knee to just above the ankle, all round the limbs. Mouths can also be placed on traits like horns and halos, this would count as a rare trait; note, mouths cannot be placed on noncorporeal materials or mechanical traits. |
Legendary This area includes from the clavicle to the top of the neck (not the chin), the ears, the back of the hands including the wrist to just before the first knuckle, and the top of the feet including the ankle to the first toe knuckles. |
Mouths are not allowed to be placed in the white areas
off limit areas include the head, and scalp, the bikini zones on the chest and crotch, the entirety of the buttock, the fingers and toes, and the bottoms of the feet and the palms of the hands.
Lips!
Because Brittlefloss' mouths do not have facial muscles surrounding them they do not emote much aside from being opened or closed, they tend to stick to the same general shape. Lips on a Brittle do not have to be uniform. Brittlefloss have a variety of lip shapes, check out the options. Rarities are as follows.note: X mouth can also be rotated into a + shape.
no lip!
Some Brittles have no lips on their teeth. This makes it difficult for them to eat and they sometimes will dribble from their mouths. Its rather embarrassing. No lipped mouths have teeth that go all the way around the rim.All no-lipped mouths are the standard shape and a rare trait.
Mouth size!
The size of the Brittlefloss mouths can vary. Not all mouths are the same size. The smallest a mouth can be is the size of a standard floss mouth, about 3 inches across.The largest a Mouth can be is 2 feet from end to end at it's widest, this is about as long as the average floss' back, as shown.
leaving space
Mouths cannot wrap all the way around, and must leave a sizeable space from one end to the other to allow room for the floss' muscle tissue and bones to function properly. If you are unsure about how much room to leave ask an admin for assistance.
stomach sacks
If mouths are close enough to one another they can share a stomach sack. If a stomach sack is pressed too closely against a bone or other organ their sack growth can be stunted and sometimes can be completely unable to consume, this especially effects mouths up against the rib-cage. Some young floss with no alternative stomach sack will die young without dangerous surgery to make room for their sack to grow by altering their bones. Mu doctors must be very skilled to preform this procedure.
Tongues!
Color and wall
The color of your Brittlefloss' tongue is determined by their material type, however the all common tongue material is bound by your floss' palette. The inner wall of all mouths and gums are your floss' blood color. Blood colors are always a part of your floss' palette.Ornaments & Studs
Some Brittlefloss like to add studs or Ornament Gems to their tongues! These follow their normal rules. Damaged tongues and accessories on tongues like piercings are not allowed. Remember: tongues cannot to be made to resemble other trait types like wings or tails.

The Material type of your floss' tongues can change, giving some real rad tongue types. Check out the available material types. Some material types are exclusive to certain clans so keep that in mind. Tongue length is not variable, and all tongues are equal to the length of the mouth. A 2 foot mouth has a 2 foot tongue, etc.

Tongue shape can vary! Any shape can be paired with any material type. Check out these tongue options to choose from! The rarities are as shown.

Teeth!
Shapes
There are several shapes your teeth can have, take a look. Teeth shape can vary from one mouth to another but cannot be mixed within the same mouth.

Teeth can vary in color depending on their material type. For teeth with the standard tooth material stark white is common,palette colors is rare. Colors outside the palette would have to be a special material type. They can be patterned to long as the pattern doesn't make the material unclear.The color and pattern, and material type of the teeth does not need to be uniform.

MYO Checklist!
- Wow! Your Brittlefloss is looking great!
Just add the hair and any add on traits you want and you'll have a fantastic looking Brittlefloss! Before submitting your floss for approval though, let's look through the checklist for the mandatory requirements to pass approval!
Is your Candyfloss basic anatomy correct? Your floss should have no nose, no eyebrows, a clan gem on their forehead about the size of a US quarter, 4 fingers and 4 toes, and their 2nd set of arms extending from their sides. Everything there? Great! If not revisit the general trait chart to review these requirements!
Next is your palette correct? If you're using a common myo you should have a 4 color palette using only colors from the native range for Brittlefloss. If you have the odd color or 5th color trait you can add an extra color or a color outside of the native range! Make sure if you're using an odd color, that it isn't covering more than 50% of the coat area! The exact percentage is not easily quantifiable so this is up to your approving admin!
Do you have all the required traits? Check to make sure your myo includes-
flopped over ears
smooth skin with no fur lines leftover from your base,
gem eyes with a table that is one of the clan shapes,
a soul gem that is cut with a flat table the same shape,
at least 1 mouth in the approved areas but none on the areas that are not allowed,
a visible tongue and teeth on their ref with approved trait options,
tongues no longer than the length of your mouths? All good? Great!
