Peppermintfloss
Born from a failed Zeta experiment that swept the world with a plague, the Peppermint are a testament to the floss's will to persevere. Their pure white fur is stark against the usually colorful and decorated flavors, but there is a beauty in simplicity. They thrive in the icy cold and revel in their power to overcome whatever the world may throw at them. The Peppermintfloss are sleek, strong and beautiful. Adorned with many eyes, spreading across their face and body, the Peppermintfloss are one of the most unique flavors on Caramella.

All about the Peppermintfloss!History
Some many years ago, the leader of the Zeta clan, Zachari was desperate to find a way to become more beautiful. He hated his appearance and in his misguided vanity, and with his sciences failing him, he turned to the Delta's dark magics. Applying his scientific genius and his impatience and reckless abandon he attempted to bend the magics to his will. No one knows what exactly went wrong, was it the chemicals, the angered spirits or his intense warped desire for beauty? Whatever it was the experiment went horribly wrong, infecting Zachari with a devastating virus. It bleached his fur stark white, stripping him of all his color, and eyes began to bud from his skin, covering his face and arms and body in horrific blinking eyeballs. The worst of it all was the sudden chill that permeated through his bones and body and threatened to freeze him solid. The virus quickly spread, inflicting all who came in contact with the deadly freeze called the Peppermint outbreak. All of the Caramellan leaders banned together to save Zachari and as many floss as they could and eventually were able to put an end to the virus. The floss who were cured were saved from the biting cold that threatened their lives but their appearances remained changed.

Now, many years have passed, and generations have grown up not knowing the world before the Virus. Peppermintfloss have found their own place in society, and are not thought of as being hideous or horrific, but their stark white fur and graceful gentle bodies are thought of as beautiful in their own unique ways in the end.
Biology
The internal biology of a Peppermintfloss is very similar to a pop, truffle or Sugarfloss. When the virus first struct Caramella, only Truffles, Sugars and Pops were on the planet, leading to three distinct types of Peppermints to exist once it was over. The descendants of Trufflefloss tend to be taller, and Sugars smaller, leading to a greater variation in body types than most flavors. The most unique quality in the peppermintfloss' internal bodies is their bone structure, giving them light, easily breakable bones. They are fragile, often likened to porcelain dolls in their delicacy, leading them to move and conduct themselves in a very careful and intentional way, often interpreted as graceful. The natural body temperature of Peppermintfloss is remarkably low, leading them to react poorly to high temperatures, and to prefer to stay in colder regions. Their fur is silky to the touch and extremely thin. This helps them keep their white fur clean and slick, and provides little to no insulation against the cold.
The eyes that cover the Peppermintfloss' bodies are all functional, and directly provide information to the floss. They can all be controlled by will and at first it can seem like an information overload. A lot of young Peppermintfloss will refuse to open their eyes for several months longer than other flavors, as they slowly acclimate to their sight. Eventually they are able to use their eyes all simultaneously, and take in their surroundings all at once. The eyes will look and blink in tandem at first, but as the peppermint becomes more comfortable with their body they can learn to close specific eyes and even move them to focus on different places at once, though this can cause a strain and headaches.
The Peppermintfloss struggle with many challenges due to their biology, but they take pride in their ability to over come them.
diet and homeland
Because of their bodies and furs special make up, the Peppermintfloss are able to thrive in much lower temperatures than most floss and thus have taken up the opportunity to colonize the vast and mostly empty ice caps surrounding the Caramellan north pole, the continent known at Pogoto. The Psi Clan was created there, to house the Peppermintfloss who migrated to Pogoto, and is a clan made specifically for their comforts. It is rich with the rare plants and candies that are grown there like cocoa, marshmallow, ice cream, and their name sake, peppermint. Many of these foods, along with imports from the nearby clans make up the bulk of their diets. Fruitcakes, eggnog, apple cider, and gingerbreads also make an impression in their diets, and cold sweets like milk shakes, snow cones, mochis, and frozen pies will make any Peppermintfloss gleeful.
preferred habitat
The Peppermintfloss love the cold weather and are in danger when living in warm enviroments like Lambda and Alpha. They tend to stick to the Pzekazi region and a good portion of them live in the Psi clan where it is the coldest. When living outside of Pogoto they will often take measures to make themselves more comfortable, like wearing sparse clothing in the heat, using air conditioners in their homes and making sure to stay hydrated. Color rules for Peppermintfloss!2 colors
The Peppermintfloss always have pure white fur! This is strictly #ffffff ! In addition to their white they also usually have 1 other color in their palette! This primary color can come from any quadrant in the color wheel! Black and white
Unlike most floss the Peppermint are able to use black and white together in their palette! The black and grayscale colors are not found on the color wheel and thus are labeled as Quadrant 0 and can be applied alongside any other color!

Neighboring color
The neighboring color rule can be applies, upgrading the 3rd color rule to a LEGENDARY trait. This will allow the 3rd color to come from a "neighboring" quadrant. For example, if you have your primary color coming from Quadrant 9 (pink) then your 3rd color can come from 8 (magenta), 9 (pink) or 10 (red)!

The peppermintfloss have a mandatory blank coat type! Read all the information and instructions for the blank coat type in our Coat Types Trait chart! 
Infected Peppermints!
During the peppermint virus Popfloss, Sugarfoss, and Trufflefloss were transformed into hybrids of their previous flavor and peppermint. They were able to retain some parts of the original coat patterns and their flavor triats like wings and tials. These hybrids are known as 'infected peppermints'! You may see these floss with mixed traits floating around, but you cannot make new ones. These were limited edition available only during the peppermint outbreak event. Eyes appear in varying quantity and can be in a number of places on the body. Check out the areas available and their rarities on the chart to the right. Every Peppermintfloss is required to have at least 1 extra eye located on their facial region.

Size
The size of the floss' body eyes can vary SLIGHTLY. The maximum size of the eye is 2 inches from tear duct to the corner of the eye. The smallest an eye can be is 1 inch from tear duct to corner of the eye.
NOTE!
It is sometimes difficult to imagine 2 inches on floss that are on bases with unrealistic proportions but do try your best to imagine the correct size. The most common denial for Peppermintfloss MYOS is for body eyes that are too large so if you want to avoid this problem we suggest using bases that are near actual proportion for your floss.
huge eye Size
As a legendary trait add on, you can add HUGE eyes to your floss. These are only able to be added to this green section of the floss' torso, front and back. Huge eyes can only be up to 1 foot in length. like normal eye sizes, this is hard to judge on some reference bases, so as a general rule try and use your floss' forearm as a guide. 
Placement
Eyes cannot be placed on top of one another, and cannot be placed so that they are on top of gems, eyes, mouths, spikes, horns or other traits. They can be placed in the inner ear, or on corporeal traits like halos and horns as a rare trait.
Matching eyes
All eye colors and eye types on body and facial eyes must match their main eyes by default.

If your floss has the heterochromia trait in their main eyes, meaning they dont match one another, then their body eyes will be roughly equally distributed to match one eye or the other. 
Type Heterochromia
As a Legendary trait add on, your floss can have 2 types of eye, one in each main eye. Their body eyes will be roughly equally distributed to match one eye or the other.

The Peppermintfloss have a selection of eye types to choose from! All eyes on their face and body must be the same eye type. Eyes must all be within the palette of the floss, however some eye types require shading, lighter or darker than your palette color. All eye types can be given the full heterochromia trait found on the general trait chart. Or partial heterochromia (two toned) as a rare add on.

The standard eye type requires a solid base color, with a darker ring and a lighter pupil in the center. Common |

The blank eye has no detailed shading or highlighting and no patterns. Just simple and blank.Uncommon |
Split
The Split eye type has two colors, with a straight blunt line down the center. The line can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal as long as it passes through the center, bisecting the eye evenly. The eyes must match unless they are using heterochromia.Uncommon |
iris
The iris eye is blank with one large circle in the center, about the side of an iris. The edges of the iris are never blunt, and must be slightly blurred. Uncommon |
polka-dot
An eye covered in polka dots! They can be lined up evenly or offset, The size of the dots can vary slightly. Uncommon |
pinstripe
Pinstripe eyes can be thick or thin, can be 2 or 3 different colors, and can be horizontal, verticle or diagonal.Uncommon |
XXX
The XXX or just X type consists of one large X where the center of it is in the place of the pupil. They can be rotated to resemble a +Uncommon |
grid
The Grid eye type is a simple square grid across the eye. it can be up and down or slanted.Uncommon |
Skull
Skull eye type has a base color, and a 1 color skull design centered where the pupil would be. The skulls can vary slightly in appearance from floss to floss. Some even have cross bones. Rare |
Galaxy
The galaxy eye type shows a palette colored galaxy in the eye of the floss. The galaxy inside is known to appear as if it's moving some times, and is not always drawn in the same way- thought the Zeta claim this is only an optical illusion. Rare |
Inverse standard
Similar to a standard eye type, but with the values reversed. They require a lighter ring and darker pupil. Rare |
Goo/liquid
This eye is leaking, a gooey substance. Unlike some goo traits, these are still palette bound. The goo is almost always flowing, but they appear similar to blank eyes when they're dry. The liquid from the eyes evaporates super quickly and doesnt bother the floss much. Rare |
cat-eye
A thin solid colored pupil like a cat's eye. Rare |
checkered
An eye with a checkered pattern. The size of the squares can vary, and they can be set strait or at an angle to appear like diamonds. Rare |
static
A busy pattern of several shades of small squares in a random pattern. It looks like TV static. Some floss claim if they look into these eyes they can see it moving like static, but this is an optical illusion. Legendary |
burst
The Starburst, Circleburst and Heartburst eye-type has been expanded to include ALL clan shapes. You can now have Rhoburst, Gammaburst, Omegaburst and more. The Burst pattern starts with the simple shape in the center and then alternates between 3 hues or colors as it fills the rest of the eye.Legendary |
mint
A swirling mint shape. Similar to the Psi gem. The stripes dont touch in the center. The place where they come together is where the pupil would be. Legendary |
dice
An eye like lucky dice. The dice # on the eye doesnt always match eachother even without heterochromia. All the eyes on the body might have different numbers on them 1-6 in dots like on dice faces.Legendary |
swirl
A thin swirling line that ends where the pupil would be. Sometimes it appears like this eye pattern is moving, slowly swirling into the center, this is just an optical illusion.Legendary |
Chevron
Eyes with a chevron pattern on them. This can be 2 or 3 colors, and can be oriented horizontal, vertical or diagonally.Legendary |
smoke
A ghastly smoke emanates from the floss' eyes. It can be thick and opaque or slightly transparent. The smoke is an in palette color. Legendary |
MYO Checklist!
- Wow! Your Peppermintfloss is looking great! Just add the hair and any add on traits you want and you'll have a fantastic looking floss!
Before submitting your floss for approval though, let's look through the checklist for the mandatory requirements to pass approval!
>Is your Candyfloss basic anatomy correct? Your floss should have no nose, no eyebrows, fur covered body, a clan gem on their forehead, 4 fingers and 4 toes, and their 2nd set of arms extending from their sides. Everything there? Great! If not revisit the general trait chart to review these requirements! - Next is your palette correct? You should have stark white as your base, then one extra primary color! If you have the 3rd color trait you can have another color that is within quadrant 0 or the same quadrant as your primary color. If you have the neighboring color trait you can have a neighboring quadrant color as your 3rd color. Remember peppermints can have black zoned and white zoned colors! All good? great!
- Is your coat blank? Check the requirements for a blank coat in the Coat Types Trait
- Check your eyes! Make sure your floss has a visible extra eye on their facial region! Be sure that all your extra eyes are within the size requirements, if it's hard to tell we recommend using a base with near-accurate body proportions (meaning not chibi). Make sure the eye type is drawn according to it's description and that all eyes use the same type! If you have full heterochromia, try to make the extra eyes roughly evenly distributed!
