Info
The Betan Doubear is a small ground animal that digs into tunnels to burrow. As domesticated pets, they love to cuddle and bury themselves in blankets and pockets. If you have one, it's required to have a warm den for them somewhere in the home to curl up in. The Doubears are docile, prey creatures who can be skiddish and shy, but when they trust you they are playful and curious. The Doubears are ideal first pets for young floss. When they're happy they sometimes use their floating ability in their sleep, causing them to float around the house like a helium balloon. Kittenfloss love to bop them around and play catch with them until they wake up. Large groups of Doubear in the Betan wild are known to build large and deep tunnels randomly under the brush. It's not uncommon for a Beta child to stumble into one of these huge Doubear holes. Legends tell of children who get lost in the tunnels and end up in magical fantasy lands filled with wonder, but most people believe this to be based on a rare occurrence of a Doubear hole leading into another clan. Most children who tumbled down Doubear tunnels can locate a doubear to aid in escorting them back out by holding onto them as they float to the surface gently. The Doubear don't mind visitors but they will help you leave when you out stay your welcome.
