The Nerafligh were originally subterranean insect-like creatures but since the Earthquake that opened up Omega, the Nerafligh have been spreading all over Caramella. They stand about 4-5 inches tall. They have bird clawed feet and a loose sheet of flesh that separates from their under body at the neckline and flutters around them. The underbody is soft and furry and the flesh around it is bald and leathery. Under their flesh they have mouth-like openings where they consume the plants and crystals that they eat. The Nerafligh will land on it's meal and then close it's flesh around it while it consumes. Nerafligh have thin insect-like wings that they beat very rappidly to fly. They are very brittle and easy to kill. The Nerafligh make good pets to the floss but are usually best kept in birdcages or they risk getting lost, stepped on, or wandering outside the home and being unable to find their way back. They are easy prey for all other pets so they are very skiddish and fragile.
