[ HIGH FANTASY ]
DIRECTORY:
► Assortment | characters that reside in nondescript or barely-built worlds that are aimed solely for high-fantasy styles.
► Oakkha | an extremely large world where there is madness and strife on seemingly every corner of its land and waters.
the main story of this world revolves around the oligarchy driven high-elven kingdom's invasion of the once simple, closed off orcish lands.
► Oft told, never seen | a more ideal world of fantasy; mythical creatures exist (and are plentiful), but rarely mingle with the much more common humanoid populations. war is the motive driving their greed, and the humanoids parlay, attempting to take everyone down with them.
► Steele | a world that is torn by war over the impending advancement of magical-technology.
many kingdoms tangle up in alliances and rivalries over their stance on a new dawn.
► Merrily We Turn A Blind Eye | this universe seems doomed, and yet the pithy goings-on of its mortals still fight one another.
there is little way in understanding what will destroy this world, much less how to stop it.
► Osed's Ruins | a bleak story of a fantasy world that revolves around one young man, and the perils he encounters in his attempts to survive.
warning in advance that this overall verse and the characters within are very callous, evil, and cruel, and is supposed to be dark/mature in theme.
► Yasiara (warmth inn) | a fantasy world where most people would fight against the moral impurity of prostitution while slinking off to the old warmth inns that have been standing for centuries, patiently taking in profits without judging their most raucous of clients.
this is a mature slice-of-life/drama that can oftentimes present as dark in nature, even if some characters do not seem as much.
This massive world (a planet much bigger than Earth!) is home to more than the Orcs and High Elves, but its these two species that held such a prominent, defining moment in history for many species of this world.
Some areas of land are home to creatures of legend and myth, while others are full of species just trying to get by in various levels of devolved/evolved civilizations.
Let's just say... Anything goes, and it's all very much high fantasy.
A world where mystical creatures are everywhere, but rarely make themselves known to the majority (humanoid) population. Life can seem so simple when focusing on the larger picture...
Oriphnae lives in a hopeless world, called Osed. His life is short, and the bleak situations he falls into as a pawn of a warring empire are felt as never ending, lengthy sessions of pain.
A high-fantasy world on the verge of a technologic/magic synergized breakthrough.
Unfortunately the world isn't so simple, nowhere near the usual one-kingdom-versus-the-other, and many little islands and kingdoms refuse to cooperate with the breakthrough, or even oppose it together with conquests.
As is the norm with revolutions, many lands and countries dissolve, or even turn into greater, stronger countries and kingdoms.
There is no overlying 'main setting' here, and you will find that many of the characters quite possibly will never come close to interacting, though they all occupy the same era within this world.
...Turn A Blind Eye [not enough room for the full title, amazing ]
A high fantasy world that is war-torn and seemingly incapable of recovering from their own greed. Some parts are deteriorating much slower, but the outcome reads the same: unless all of the nations (and outliers, and sheer ignorant folk) stand together, they will all face their doom.
This is an overlying story and all of the characters in here aren't exactly intended to interact with one another-- the world is a big big place, after all!
A wicked world torn between its virtues and sins in a dark age; smack dab in the middle of one of the kingdom's largest near-lawless towns is a spotless but old building that houses the 'most welcoming' hosts and hostesses of what most species would call a Yasiara-- translated from common tongue to mean warmth inn.
This story revolves around those that would come, go, or live within the warmth inn's bustling walls while the world changes around them and their practices.
